Abstract:
A personal care article including a substrate having impregnated therein, applied thereon or arranged to substantially encase, a cosmetic composition which includes a peptide comprising a Bowman-Birk molecule in which the chymotrypsin inhibitory sequence and/or trypsin inhibitory sequence is replaced with a vascular endothelial growth factor binding sequence (hereinafter designated BBI-AV molecule) or one of its mutated forms, wherein the pH of the composition is substantially less than 9.0, and at least a portion of the article has exfoliating properties.
