Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel body suit designed to protect an individual from being burned or scalded by encountering hot surfaces, hot liquids, hot vapors or flames without compromising the individual's mobility to perform activities assigned to the individual. This suit comprises an outer layer that covers the wearer's torso, arms, legs, and head and includes an integral battery-powered fan system that draws ambient air into the suit to make the pressure of the air on the interior of the suit greater than the ambient pressure. In this way, the suit's outer layer is kept a distance away from the wearer's skin. By doing so, the outer layer of the suit can contact hot surfaces, hot liquids, hot vapors or flames without harming the wearer.
