Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a compound having a high activity against pests. The present invention provides: a substituted pyridine compound represented by formula (I) [wherein R1 represents an alkyl group or the like; R2 represents a halogen atom, a nitro group, an alkoxy group or the like; and L represents -CHBrCHBr-, -CHClCHCl-, -CHBrCHCl-, -CHClCHBr-, -CH=CH-, -CH=CCl- or -CH=CBr-] or a salt thereof; a pest control agent containing the compound or a salt thereof as an active ingredient; a method for controlling a pest, comprising applying an effective amount of the compound or a salt thereof; and a method for producing the compound or a salt thereof.
