Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a progesterone induced blocking factor (PIBF) protein as an active ingredient for prevention or treatment of inflammatory disease. In the present invention, menopausal asthma animal models have been experimentally identified to decrease airway inflammation when treated with PIBF protein. Thus, the composition can be advantageously used in menopausal female asthma patients.
