PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR OTIC ADMINISTRATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/020535
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a pharmaceutical composition that can be otically administered without a complicated procedure, and that has the function of retaining and gradually releasing a medication within the ear. The pharmaceutical composition for otic administration contains one or more types of medication and a polymer, and has complex viscosity properties wherein, when the complex viscosity of the pharmaceutical composition is measured using a rheometer under conditions of 5% shear strain and 50 rad/sec angular frequency while heating the temperature from 25°C to 37°C at a heating rate of 1°C/10 sec, the complex viscosity is less than 1,650 mPa·s when at 25°C and is 1,650 mPa·s to 100,000 mPa·s, inclusive, at 10 minutes after reaching 37°C.
