Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating autoimmune diseases and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating autoimmune diseases, containing semi-mature dendritic cells with overexpressed Dab2 gene. The composition according to the present invention contains, as an active ingredient, semi-mature dendritic cells with overexpressed Dab2 gene or increased Dab2 protein activity. The semi-mature dendritic cells with overexpressed Dab2 gene or increased Dab2 protein activity can suppress the proliferation of antigen-specific effector T cells, inhibit the expression of inflammatory cytokines, and increase the proportion of anti-inflammatory cytokine expression and regulatory T cells, and thus are expected to be favorably used as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating autoimmune diseases including arthritis.
