Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating hearing loss comprising avocado oil as an active ingredient. Specifically, the avocado oil, according to the present invention, in particular, avocado shell oil pressed from the shell of an avocado, significantly increases the number of hair cells reduced by kanamycin in zebrafish models, such that the avocado oil can be usefully used for the treatment of hearing loss.
