Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory skin diseases, containing interleukin-32 protein as an active ingredient. Specifically, interleukin-32 protein of the present invention alleviates inflammation of the skin in an animal model with atopic dermatitis, inhibits an increase in skin thickness and mast cells, inhibits the blood level and expression of inflammatory cytokines, and inhibits an increase in inflammatory cytokines that are also in skin keratinocytes, thereby being effectively usable in the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases.
