Abstract:

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating organ fibrosis comprising monomethyl fumarate as an active ingredient, the pharmaceutical composition comprising monomethyl fumarate as an active ingredient effectively inhibiting expression of collagen I and extracellular matrix components in cells known to have elevated accumulation thereof in organ fibrosis patients to thus be effective in preventing or treating organ fibrosis.
