Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases by neuroprotection, comprising, as an active ingredient, diaportheone A1, diaportheone A2, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, or a combination thereof. More specifically, when used, the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention inhibits the aggregation of amyloid beta (Aβ), reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS), reduces the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential, and thus has a neuroprotective effect on oxidative stress, and thus the pharmaceutical composition can be used for the prevention or treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
