Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating macular degeneration, containing an imidazoline derivative compound as an active ingredient. A composition containing an imidazoline derivative compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient, according to one aspect, selectively kills senescent cells to reduce drusen and macular atrophy, and thus can be effectively used for preventing and/or treating macular degeneration.
