Abstract:
As the cooling performance of phase-change coolers in which a refrigerant liquid is circulated using a driving source decreases significantly immediately after startup, this phase-change cooler has: an evaporator containing a refrigerant liquid receiving heat from a heating source; a condenser for releasing heat of refrigerant vapor generated by the refrigerant liquid being vaporized in the evaporator, and producing the refrigerant liquid; a refrigerant liquid driving means for circulating the refrigerant liquid; a first piping part connecting the evaporator and the condenser; a second piping part connecting the condenser and the refrigerant liquid driving means; a third piping part connecting the refrigerant liquid driving means and the evaporator; and a fourth piping part having one end connecting to the first piping part at a first connection point and the other end connecting to the second piping part at a second connection point. The first connection point is located lower than the position of the interface between the refrigerant vapor and the refrigerant liquid in the first piping when the refrigerant liquid driving means is started up.
