Abstract:
The phase difference film has a first resin layer that contains a negative intrinsic birefringent resin A and that exhibits Ro(450) > Ro(550) > Ro(650) where Ro(450) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 450 nm, Ro(550) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 550 nm, and Ro(650) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 650 nm, and has a second resin layer that contains a positive intrinsic birefringent resin B and that exhibits Ro(450) > Ro(550) > Ro(650) where Ro(450) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 450 nm, Ro(550) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 550 nm, and Ro(650) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 650 nm. The phase difference film has an Nz factor of -1.0 to 1.0 and exhibits Ro(450) < Ro(550) < Ro(650) where Ro(450) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 450 nm, Ro(550) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 550 nm, and Ro(650) is the in-plane phase difference at an angle of incidence of 0° for light with a wavelength of 650 nm.
