Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a phase measurement method and a signal processing device capable of reducing the influence of noise of a measuring instrument without increasing the peak intensity of incident light pulses when measuring the phase of scattered light in DAS-P. A phase measurement method according to the present invention comprises: causing wavelength-multiplexed pulsed light to enter an optical fiber being measured; creating scattered light vectors by plotting scattered light of different wavelengths from the optical fiber being measured on a two-dimensional plane having in-phase component as a horizontal axis thereof and orthogonal component as a vertical axis thereof; matching orientations of the created scattered light vectors by rotating the created scattered light vectors at points on the optical fiber being measured on a per-wavelength basis; generating a new vector by adding up and averaging the orientation-matched vectors; and calculating a phase using values of the in-phase component and the orthogonal component of the generated new vector.
