Title:
PHOSPHOR ELEMENT, PHOSPHOR DEVICE, AND ILLUMINATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/106906
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To increase the fluorescence intensity of emitted light and minimize luminance unevenness of emitted white light when excitation light is incident on a phosphor element and fluorescence is generated. [Solution] A phosphor element 17, provided with an incidence surface 3 on which excitation light is incident, and a side surface 4 and a reflective surface 2 opposite the incidence surface 3. The phosphor element 17 converts at least some of the excitation light incident on the incidence surface 3 into fluorescence, and emits the fluorescence from the incidence surface 3. The area of the incidence surface 3 is greater than the area of the reflective surface. When viewed in cross-section Z perpendicular to the incidence surface along the longest partition line W bisecting the incidence surface 3, there is provided an incline region G in which the incline angle θ formed by the side surface 4 with respect to a perpendicular axis P perpendicular to the incidence surface 3 monotonously increases from the reflective surface to the incidence surface.
