Title:
PHOSPHORUS-BASED FLAME RETARDANT POLYESTER-BASED ARTIFICIAL HAIR FIBER AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/108267
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A flame retardant polyester-based artificial hair fiber of the present invention comprises: (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester resin; (B) 10 to 30 parts by weight of a polymeric phosphorus-based flame retardant; (C) 0.1 to 3 parts by weight of a chain extender; and (D) 0.5 to 3 parts by weight of sodium antimonate. A flame retardant having a repeating unit of chemical formula 1 and a mean molecular weight ranging from 80,000 to 150,000 can be used preferably for the polymeric phosphorus-based flame retardant (B). The flame retardant polyester-based artificial hair fiber can be prepared by: extruding a composition in which the polyester resin, the polymeric phosphorus-based flame retardant, the chain extender and sodium antimonate are mixed, so as to prepare the composition in a pellet form; drying the pellet so as to have a moisture content of 500 ppm or less; melt spinning the dried pellet; drawing the spun undrawn fiber at a draw ratio of 2-5 times thereof; and heat treating the drawn fiber in a heat treatment device heated to the temperature of 150-280°C.
