Abstract:
A phosphorylcholine group-containing polysiloxane monomer according to the present invention is represented by formula (1). In the formula, a represents an integer of 20 to 500. b represents an integer of 1 to 70. C represents an integer of 1 to 70. d represents 0 or 1. p and q each represent 0 or 1. X represents -CH2- or -CH2CH2-. R represents an alkyl group having 2-18 carbon atoms. It is possible to provide a phosphorylcholine group-containing polysiloxane monomer from which a polymer exhibiting surface hydrophilicity and sufficient stability can be provided for an ophthalmic device when said monomer is polymerized with a polymerizable monomer such as methacrylic acid or a hydrophilic monomer other than the methacrylic acid.
