Abstract:
Disclosed is a photocatalyst-coated body with good weather resistance that is capable of suppressing the formation of intermediate products such as NO2 while increasing the elimination quantity of NOX when eliminating NOX, specifically when eliminating atmospheric NOX. Also disclosed is a photocatalyst coating liquid for use in the forming of said photocatalyst-coated body. The photocatalyst-coated body is provided with a photocatalyst layer disposed on a base material, and the aforementioned photocatalyst layer comprises at least photocatalytic titanium oxide particles, silica particles, and a dried, water-soluble zirconium compound. When given that the total mass percentage of the whole aforementioned photocatalyst layer equals 100%, the aforementioned photocatalytic titanium oxide particles comprise a range from 1 mass% to 20 mass%, the aforementioned silica particles comprise a range from 51 mass% to 98 mass%, and the aforementioned dried, water-soluble zirconium compound, in equivalent units of zirconium oxide (ZrO2), comprises a range from 1 wt% to 48 mass%.
