Abstract:

A photocatalyst dispersion liquid used for coating a base with a film containing photocatalyst particles is disclosed which is composed of a dispersion liquid obtained by mixing a photocatalyst dispersion and a resin solution. A method for producing such a photocatalyst dispersion liquid comprises a step wherein a photocatalyst dispersion is prepared, a step wherein the viscosity of the photocatalyst dispersion is adjusted by adding water therein, and a step wherein a fluororesin solution is added to the viscosity-adjusted photocatalyst dispersion and the resulting mixture is stirred for dispersion. By using a titanium oxide as the photocatalyst and using a fluororesin as the resin, there can be obtained a dispersion liquid with excellent dispersibility and long-term stability which is used for forming a fluororesin layer wherein a titanium oxide photocatalyst is contained.
