Abstract:
The present invention provides a photocatalytic sterilization module in which the area for photochemical reaction and the efficiency of photoreaction are increased due to the efficient cross-sectional structure of a sterilization duct and installation of a corrugated photocatalytic scattering plate, and hindrance to ventilation is reduced due to the compact configuration of LED ultraviolet emitters for emitting ultraviolet rays to thereby improve the emission efficiency of radicals, significantly increase the sterilization power, and increase the lifespan for use. A photocatalytic sterilization module according to a suitable embodiment of the present invention comprises: a sterilization duct including a photocatalytic sterilization chamber which has a trapezoidal cross-section formed by a front plate and a rear plate parallel to each other at a uniform interval, and inclined plates connected to the front plate and the rear plate and inclined at a predetermined angle, and which is closed inwards by the front plate, the rear plate, and the inclined plates, wherein all inner surfaces of the photocatalytic sterilization chamber are coated with a photocatalytic material, and a ventilation inlet is formed in a lower portion of the photocatalytic sterilization chamber; photocatalytic inclined scattering plates and a photocatalytic front scattering plate which are arranged on inner portions of the inclined plates and the front plate of the sterilization duct, respectively, and on which a photocatalytic material is coated to induce scattering and diffusion of ultraviolet rays; one or more LED ultraviolet emitters which are composed of an LED strip installation rod having a circular cross-section over a certain length, and LED strips, which are arranged circularly on the outer circumferential surface of the LED strip installation rod and generate LED ultraviolet rays, the LED ultraviolet emitters being arranged in the photocatalytic sterilization chamber; and an LED ultraviolet emitter support installed on the rear plate to fix and support the LED ultraviolet emitters.
