Abstract:
　A photochromic coloring material having a high degree of freedom as to solvents capable of dissolution, as well as excellent solubility therein, little residual color in the achromatic state, and high concentration in the chromatic state, is configured from at least a terpene phenolic resin and a photochromic dye. This photochromic coloring material is used as a coloring material of an ink for a writing instrument.
