Abstract:

Provided is an aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion which ensures excellent dispersion of a polyurethane prepolymer in an aqueous medium and which exhibits excellent stability of polyurethane resin in water. The aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion is suitable for practical use as a durable coating or paint composition which is resistant to hydrolysis, heat and wear and which exhibits particularly excellent hardness. Specifically provided is an aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion prepared by dispersing a polyurethane resin in an aqueous medium, wherein the polyurethane resin is a polyurethane resin which contains 26 to 50wt% of alicyclic structures relative to the whole polyurethane resin and which has polymerizable unsaturated bonds.
