Abstract:
An optical fiber which is clad with a cured product of a photocurable resin composition consisting of at least one compound having at least two unsaturated bonds in the molecule, a photopolymerization initiator, and a coupling agent without unsaturated bond which forms a chemical bond with a quartz-type glass or an optical glass. The optical fiber exhibits excellent mechanical properties and does not permit the properties to deteriorate under high temperature conditions.
