Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce the dark current ratio of a photodetector element. [Solution] A photodetector element 10 comprising an anode 12, a cathode 16, and an active layer 14 that is provided between the anode and the cathode and contains a p-type semiconductor material and an n-type semiconductor material, wherein the value obtained by subtracting the absolute value of the HOMO energy level of the p-type semiconductor material from the absolute value of the HOMO energy level of the n-type semiconductor material is at most 0.35. Moreover, the difference between the HOMO of the n-type semiconductor material and the HOMO of the p-type semiconductor material is preferably 0-0.10 eV, and the p-type semiconductor material is preferably a polymer compound containing a structural unit represented by formula (I). (In formula (I), Ar1 and Ar2 represent an optionally substituted trivalent aromatic heterocyclic group or an optionally substituted trivalent aromatic carbon ring group, and Z represents a group represented by formula (Z-1) to formula (Z-7).)
