Abstract:
This photoelectric conversion element is provided with: a substrate; a first photoelectric conversion unit provided with a first substrate electrode, a first active layer, and a first counter electrode; a second photoelectric conversion unit provided with a second substrate electrode, a second active layer, and a second counter electrode; and a connecting section provided with a groove whereby the surface of the second substrate electrode is exposed from the second active layer, and a conductive section comprising a part of the first counter electrode embedded in the groove, in which the first counter electrode and the second substrate electrode are electrically connected via the conductive section. The second active layer is represented by the compositional formula AαBXχ. The second active layer comprises a first compound layer containing a first compound satisfying 0.95 ≤ α and 2.95 ≤ χ and a second compound layer that is arranged between the first compound layer and the second substrate electrode and that contains a second compound satisfying α < 0.95 and χ < 2.95.
