Abstract:
This photoelectric sensor includes a light projecting unit and a light receiving unit. The light receiving unit includes: a light receiving element that receives light containing pulse light and outputs a light receiving signal based on the light received; a filter circuit that applies a predetermined filter to the light receiving signal; an offset circuit that determines an offset value on the basis of a signal level within an adoptable range of signal levels of the light receiving signal output from the filter circuit and determines a threshold value on the basis of the offset value; and a comparison circuit that compares the signal level of the light receiving signal output from the filter circuit with the threshold value in a predetermined cycle.
