Disclosed in the present application are a photographing method and a related apparatus. After enabling a "duet" function for a selected picture that includes an object A, an electronic device starts a camera application, displays indication information of the picture in a preview interface, and also displays an image, which is collected by a camera of the electronic device. Then, the electronic device can receive a photographing instruction which is input by a user, and can fit the picture and the image, which is collected by the camera, into a synthetic image, which includes the object A and an object B at the same time. By means of the method, a high-quality group photograph of an object A and an object B can be achieved without the help of other devices or other people.
