Abstract:
Provided is a photomultiplier having a structure for improving response time
characteristics. An electron multiplier section of the photomultiplier is
provided with an upper unit (200) and a lower unit. The upper unit (200) includes
a focusing electrode (240), a mesh electrode (220) and a first dynode (DY1) where
photoelectrons from a photocathode reach among dynodes at a plurality of levels.
The mesh electrode (220) is arranged by being inclined from a tube axis.
