Abstract:
A photonic crystal label that undergoes temperature-controlled self-destruction, which is is prepared from a photonic crystal material having irreversible temperature responsiveness; the photonic crystal material is prepared from a liquid photonic crystal assembly having a regularly arranged structure and a second material that undergoes phase change when heated and destroys said regularly arranged structure; the liquid photonic crystal assembly having the regularly arranged structure is composed of monodisperse micro/nano-colloidal particles having a regularly arranged structure and a first material filled into gaps of the micro/nano-colloidal particles; and the phase change temperature for phase change is any one among a melting point, a crystal form transition temperature, a glass transition temperature, a softening point, a gel-sol transition temperature, and a lowest/highest critical temperature. The provided photonic crystal label is simple to prepare, has accurate and reliable detection results that are easily identifiable, a monitored temperature and a color change duration are adjustable, and the adjustment range is wide.
