Abstract:
The present application provides a photovoltaic module fault detection method and apparatus. Since features of IV curves corresponding to photovoltaic modules of different faults are different, a plurality of data groups of photovoltaic modules in a photovoltaic module array are acquired, each data group comprising a current and a voltage; a reference curve is obtained; each data group is normalized according to the reference curve, first fitting is performed on the normalized data groups, and curves to be tested of the photovoltaic modules are obtained; feature information of the reference curve and the curves to be tested are obtained, the feature information comprising maximum power, a short-circuit point current, an open circuit point voltage, a first-order derivative trend, a second-order derivative trend, and the number of coordinate points the current of which is 0; and fault detection is performed on the photovoltaic modules according to the feature information of the curves to be tested and the feature information of the reference curve, which achieves carrying out fault detection on photovoltaic modules.
