Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a high-performance phthalocyanine compound in which it is possible to control the number of a variety of functional groups and the positions thereof, said compound being produced by a production method involving a biomass starting material; a composition; a pigment composition using the compound or composition; a pigment dispersion; a printing ink; a coating material; a printed object; a printed object laminate; a coated object; and a color filter. This problem is solved by using a furan derivative and maleic anhydride as starting materials, performing a Diels-Alder (DA) reaction to obtain a DA intermediate composition, subjecting the DA intermediate composition to a ring-opening dehydration reaction to synthesize a phthalic anhydride composition that is used in conventional phthalicyanine synthesis, and synthesizing a phthalicyanine composition.
