Abstract:
This physical distribution management system is applied to a physical distribution center having a plurality of shipping gates, the physical distribution management system including: a storage device that, for each of a plurality of delivery vehicles, stores in association the ID of the delivery vehicle, luggage with which the delivery vehicle is laden, the shipment destination of the luggage, and the ID of a shipping gate where the delivery vehicle is to be loaded; an ID acquisition device that acquires the ID of a delivery vehicle arriving at the physical distribution center; and a management device that determines the shipping gate where the delivery vehicle is to be loaded on the basis of the delivery-vehicle ID acquired by the ID acquisition device and the information stored in the storage device, and notifies the delivery vehicle about the determined shipping gate. This makes it possible to more reliably suppress mistaken delivery of luggage at a physical distribution center having a plurality of shipping gates.
