Abstract:
A novel physiologically active substance FA-5859 produced by bacteria of genus Emericella or Aspergillus and salt thereof have an excellent effect of inhibiting fatty acid decomposition, and are utilized as agents for treating diabetes of mammalian animals or as biochemical reagents for clarifying fatty acid metabolism.
