Title:
PHYTOREMEDIATION IMPLEMENTATION IN DEEP POLLUTED SOIL AND GROUNDWATER, AND MONITORING METHOD FOR SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/126353
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and system for the monitoring of sources of pollution and the environmentally friendly cleaning of deep polluted soil and groundwater, and more specifically is a planting technique for forming the rhizosphere of a plant in deep soil in order to implement phytoremediation. The invention comprises digging a trench and breaking apart the subsoil when planting a seedling, and then surrounding the seedling with a guard column and planting same. The present invention is adapted in such a way that a plant having a phytoremediation function with respect to pollution can be planted in such a way that the rhizosphere of the plant can reach the deep soil or groundwater without passing through top-layer soil, thereby allowing remediation of deep soil that cannot be remediated using an existing method.
