Abstract:
When the decreasing rate of the power source voltage is higher than a reference decreasing rate, namely, when the drive efficiency is low and a piezoelectric actuator is driven at a drive frequency at which the power consumption is large, or when the piezoelectric actuator (A) cannot be started because of a some cause, a control circuit (131) returns the drive frequency to a predetermined drive frequency and again performs drive frequency change. Therefore, the time until the start failure is detected is not long, and the start failure can be instantly judged from the decreasing rate of the power source voltage. Since the time required for this judgment is shortened, the processing from the abnormality detection till the optimization of the drive signal can be quickly carried out, and the power consumption is reduced to realize power saving.
