Abstract:
This piezoelectric base material includes a long inner conductor and a piezoelectric layer covering the outer peripheral surface of the inner conductor. The piezoelectric layer has a piezoelectric thread wound around the inner conductor and an adhesive portion that holds the piezoelectric thread in a state of being wound around the outer peripheral surface of the inner conductor. The piezoelectric thread includes an optically active polypeptide fiber that represents a fiber made of an optically active polypeptide. The elastic modulus Y of the piezoelectric layer measured by a microhardness meter measurement (conforms to JIS Z 2255) is 1.0-8.0 GPa.
