Abstract:
Provided is a pigment dispersing agent which can significantly improve fluidity of liquids such as ink or paint that comprises pigment particles such as black azo pigment in a dispersed state, can prevent flocculation of the pigment particles, and enables manufacture of a colored article having excellent optical density while preventing generation of foreign matter. This pigment dispersing agent is a compound represented by general formula (1) where R1 and R2 are independently an amino group, of an amine compound comprising a basic nitrogen atom, that has lost one hydrogen atom and R3 and R4 are independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, or a hydroxyl group.
