Abstract:
A pinball machine having a card game playing function, which permits playing while creating an atmosphere of a card game. A card pattern display unit (107) displays at five display positions five patterns among patterns on the faces of fifty-two cards when a pinball enters a specified prize-winning portion (104). When patterns indicated at five display positions establish bonus points in a card game, a varying prize-winning portion (105) is put in a grand prize-winning state as many times as are predetermined in accordance with the bonus points. In the grand prize-winning state, a plurality of pinballs can win prizes at a time. After a single grand prize-winning state is effected, it terminates after a lapse of a predetermined period of time or when a predetermined number of pinballs have entered the varying prize-winning portion.
