Abstract:
Provided by the present invention are a pipeline hardware compression-based system and method. A pipeline hardware compression-based system comprises a management control unit, a pipeline matching unit, a standard format conversion unit, a static Huffman coding unit, and a data stream generation unit; the management control unit is used to control and coordinate the data transmission of other units, acquire data to be compressed, and output compressed data; the pipeline matching unit is used to calculate the position at which a current input character is matchingly the same as a previous input character, and the length for which the current input character is continuously matchingly the same; the standard format conversion unit is used to convert an input character into a standard data format; the static Huffman coding unit is used to encode data in a standard data format into a Huffman coded stream; and the data stream generation unit is used to convert a non-fixed length coded stream into a fixed-length output. The technical solutions of embodiments of the present invention increase the rate of data compression and reduce the time and memory resources for occupying a central processor.
