Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a piston which is suitable for stable production, and which is provided with a heat insulating layer having good heat insulation properties, thermal responsiveness and adhesion properties.
In order to resolve the abovementioned problems, this piston is characterized by being provided with a base material, a joining layer formed on a surface of the base material, and a heat insulating layer formed on a surface of the joining layer, wherein an insert material having a lower melting point than the base material is diffused in the base material to form the joining layer, and the insert material is diffused in the heat insulating layer to form the joining layer.
