Abstract:
This placement detection system is provided with a placement table, an imaging device which, through the placement table, images an object placed on the placement table to generate an input image, and a control device which receives the input image. In the input image, the control device identifies high level pixels which have at least a prescribed image level, sets a threshold value of the high-level pixels, and, depending on the distance between the high-level pixels and target pixels, sets a threshold value of target pixels other than the high-level pixels that is below the threshold value of the high-level pixels. Further, the control device generates a binarized image by binarizing the image level of the target pixels depending on the threshold value of the target pixels, and uses the binarized image to detect the shape of the object.
