Abstract:
A planar motor (10) comprises a rotor (20), a stator (30), and a control circuit (40). The rotor (20) has a permanent magnet (21) or an electromagnet (21b). The stator (30) has a main face (31a) facing the rotor (20), and a plurality of thin film-like pattern coils (33) disposed along the main face (31a). The control circuit (40) is constituted by a half-bridge circuit or a full-bridge circuit, and has a plurality of switching elements for controlling the supply of power to the plurality of pattern coils (33). The control circuit (40) controls the switching elements disposed on the high side and the low side, and alters the magnetic poles of the pattern coils (33) by switching the direction of the electric current flowing through the pattern coils (33).
