Abstract:
This plane estimation method has a generation step, a region setting step, and an estimation step. In the generation step, three-dimensional image data is generated which includes three or more three-dimensional coordinates on a subject. In the region setting step, a reference region is set which is either a three-dimensional region or a two-dimensional region. In the estimation step, a reference plane is estimated which approximates a surface of the subject on the basis of three or more points in the three-dimensional image data corresponding to the three or more points included in the reference region.
