Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel plant growth suppression agent and a plant growth suppression method that uses the same. This plant growth suppression agent includes, as an active ingredient, a compound expressed by formula (I') and/or a salt thereof. In formula (I'), R1a represents a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C14 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3-C13 heteroaryl group, or similar, R2 represents a divalent linking group such as a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkylene group or a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C14 arylene group, R3a represents OH, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C6 alkoxy group, or similar, X represents an oxygen atom, Y represents a substituent group, q represents an integer from 0 to 3, n is 0 or 1, and m is 0 or 1.
