Title:
PLANTS CAPABLE OF METABOLIZING DRUGS AND UTILIZATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2000/017352
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Transgenic plants capable of metabolizing drugs which are constructed by transferring a drug-metabolizing P450 molecular species into plants. These plants are capable of detoxifying and metabolizing foreign compounds such as drugs, poisons and environmental loads and endocrine disruptors including pesticides. Thus, they are highly useful when applied to field crops, etc. Also, a method for screening the drug-metabolizing P450 molecular species is provided.
