Abstract:
A PDP in which airtightness of the discharge space is maintained while having a sealing part containing P2O5 and SnO and deterioration in performance is suppressed, a method for manufacturing such a PDP, and a sealing member for realizing such a PDP. In a plasma display panel where a pair of substrates are arranged opposite to each other so as to form a discharge space between the substrates and the peripheral part of the pair of substrates is sealed by a first sealing part, the first sealing part comprises a glass composition containing P2O5 and SnO, and a refractory filler, and the organic matter content in the first sealing part is 10 ppm or less.
