This plate-type heat exchanger is characterized in that at least one first flow path which is in an intermediate position in the heat transfer plate stacking direction is a base flow path which is a branching position of the first fluid flow path. The main body has a pair of primary branch paths which allow communication between the base flow path and at least one first flow path on both sides of the base flow path in the stacking direction of the heat transfer plates. One of first communication paths communicates only with the base flow path, and the other of the first communication paths communicates only with the first flow paths which are on both sides of the base flow path in the heat transfer plate stacking direction and which are terminal ends of the first fluid flow path.
