Abstract:
Provided is a plug receptacle (1) wherein a plurality of kinds of plug connectors having different number of contacts can be connected thereto and workability in connecting the plug connectors is not deteriorated. To the receptacle connector (1), two types of plug connectors (first plug and second plug) having different number of contacts and different shall (plug shell) shapes (mainly the sizes) can be removably connected. In the case where the first plug, i.e., the plug smaller than the second plug, is connected, since the plug shell of the first plug is held by a protrusion (45) arranged on a receptacle shell (40), workability in connecting the first plug does not deteriorate.
