Abstract:
A pluggable optical module, wherein an optical fiber for connecting optical components is compactly stored inside a housing to which a plurality of optical components are mounted. A pluggable optical module (100) has a plurality of optical components, a printed circuit board (51), one or more optical fibers, and an optical fiber storage means (14). Some or all of the plurality of optical components are mounted to the printed circuit board (51). The one or more optical fibers connect the plurality of optical components to one another. The optical fiber storage means (14) has a guide around which it is possible to wind the one or more optical fibers, and which is provided on a plate-shape member. Furthermore, the optical fiber storage means (14) is mounted so as to be layered with the printed circuit board (51) to which optical components are mounted, and with some or all of the optical components not mounted to the printed circuit board (51).
