Abstract:
The invention of the present application provides a pneumatic conveyance method for methionine that can suppress crush of methionine to a minimum, the method being characterized in that, when pneumatically conveying methionine using carrier gas, the flow state of methionine is made into low-concentration floating flow form, and the mixing ratio of methionine to carrier gas is set to be within the range of 4-10 kg-methionine/kg-carrier gas. In the pneumatic conveyance method for methionine of the present invention, the use of methionine having a D50 of 150-425 μm enables to suppress the fine powder increasing rate to be 1.5% or less by keeping the mixing ratio of methionine to carrier gas within the range of 4-10 kg-methionine/kg-carrier gas, and to suppress the fine powder increasing rate to be 1% or less by keeping the mixing ratio within the range of 5-10 kg-methionine/kg-carrier gas.
